Peer Ministry
Sponsor: Mrs. Lisa Hunke
This year Peer Ministry and Mission Possible have merged since Mission Possible is now a school wide activity. Peer Ministry is going to serve as the leaders of Mission Possible, meaning that Peer Ministry is now in charge of not only planning masses, service projects, and charity fundraisers but also planning community service projects and planning this year's Mission Trip.
Peer Ministry helps with school and community projects, such as parties for the GA preschool students, activities for the elementary students during Catholic Schools Week, food drive for the food pantry, fundraisers for charities such as the Leukemia Society, and pro-life organizations. Peer Ministry is also responsible for planning the weekly school Masses - selecting volunteers to help with the parts of the Mass, planning the songs, writing the petitions, and choosing who to donate the Mass collections to.
To become a member of Peer Ministry, you can only join your sophomore year. Those who are interested fill out an application anonymously. The current members of Peer Ministry review all the applications and elect four sophomores who are invited to join the team. Selected Peer Ministers commit to the team for three years of high school. Peer Ministry meets on the second Tuesday of each month.

-Deanery Day and Buddy Day
During Catholic Schools Week, Guardian Angels Central Catholic students took part in Deanery Day and Buddy Day. Deanery Day is an event when the Catholic schools in Dodge, Clarkson, and Howells as well as the West Point Catholic schools get together to play games and do other types of activities. This year the schools meet at Guardian Angels and had a visit from the drum band Shelter Reality. Everyone involved had a great time and can't wait until next year!
Also, during Catholic Schools Week the C.C. students played games with their buddies from G.A. Each grade from G.A was sent to a room in the C.C. High School and were met by some C.C. students. All of the grade school kids had a blast and so did some of the high school students.
